We are growing strong with a team that is proudly committed to creating the world’s best certified-organic cannabis.We are currently recruiting for a full time Maintenance Technician at our Ancaster, Ontario facility.Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (Saturdays as required) / Afternoon Shift – 3:00 pm – 11:00 pmDuties and Responsibilities:Survey buildings and repair mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards and OEM specs.Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and or corrective maintenance support to production and processing teams.Establish, manage, and perform preventative maintenance activities as per facility schedules.Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace lights/ballasts, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, service motors/pumps/valves/conveyors, Troubleshooting and repair equipment etc.).Overlook the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs as required.Perform facility maintenance which includes tools and equipment in good working order while maintaining a clean and safe work area.Maintain 5S standards.Other duties as required.Qualifications:Electrician (442A) certification required.Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plusMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a food or pharmaceutical environment considered an asset.Working knowledge of PLC, robotic and HMI programming and controls, troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment, weight scales, VFD, Servomotors and network communications experience.Strong SAP skill set, CMMS maintenance system and setup.Manual dexterity and problem-solving skillsWorking Conditions:This is a greenhouse working environment, which may have continuous exposure to heat, light and humidityMay be required to work on weekends and during holidays, from time to time.Physical Requirements:This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 50lbs), standing and bendingThe Green Organic Dutchman (TGOD) offers Competitive Wages and Health Care Benefits..To learn more about this exciting career opportunity, please forward your by Friday August 13, 2021.The Green Organic Dutchman is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we welcome diversity in the workplace.
