The successful candidates will receive mentorship from the NFP leadership group as well as a fast-tracked training schedule that will condense five years’ worth of on-the-job experience into two.By the end of the ACAP training schedule, you will function as a full-fledged Client Manager responsible for servicing your own book of business.The expected start date for successful hires of this program aligns with the April 2022 graduation period. Interviews will commence on or about mid to late February.What You’ll Learn and What You’ll Be DoingYear One

  • If not already licensed, NFP will provide training and access to license exam to obtain RIBO (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) License
  • Understand the backend processes and systems of Small Enterprise & Mid-Market Business Insurance including Broker Management Database Activities:
    • Client Application Entry
    • Client and Policy Data Reconciliation
    • Reports Formatting, Analytics, and Data Diagnostics
  • Prepare client premium proposals and pre-renewal information packages, process invoices, finance contracts, and claim reporting
Year Two
  • Work with the backend service team and support Client Managers in preparation of applications, specifications, and marketing strategy for new business as well as renewals
  • Begin to understand which commercial lines segment you will join and what capacity (service, inside sales, etc.)
  • Provide professional and prompt customer service including phone, email, and walk-in inquiries on new and existing client accounts, including client questions on topics such as coverage, billing, reporting of claims, audits, etc.
  • Be the lead in maintaining positive, long-term relationships with the clients, insurance carrier representatives, and NFP staff
What you Bring
  • Recent College or University Graduate from a reputable institution with a proven record of strong academic success
  • Leadership qualities demonstrated through college/university, community, internship, or co-op experience
  • Proficient in writing and editing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who can independently manage deadlines
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information
  • Proven administrative skills and expertise
  • Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
