The Americas team champions the values of Integrity, Ownership, Customer Focus, Creativity and Care to help us deliver on People Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Collaboration.Job TitlePrescalerLocationAncaster, ONDepartmentBuilding 1Reporting toLeadhand and Production SupervisorPosition PurposeThis position is responsible for ensuring all minor, inclusion, and liquid ingredients are screened and scaled accurately.Key AccountabilitiesEnsuring food quality along with standard productivity.ResponsibilitiesLeave work area clean and organized throughout and at the end of shiftEnsure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and qualityArrive to work on time and with all tools to perform tasksResponsible for start up, picking up formulas, and review mixing scheduleScale ingredients accurately according to current and up-to-date formulasAssist with the loading of ingredients into the mixerEnsure batters are finished in a timely manner - preventing downtime between batchesEnsure all variances to formulas are noted and reported to Leadhand and SupervisorDocument all ingredients used throughout the shiftDocument lot numbers of all ingredients usedEnsure proper documentation, labeling, and cleanliness of ingredient binsEnsure scaling and mixing area is neat and cleanPrescale area to be cleaned thoroughly on a weekly basisWork closely with mixer and LeadhandInform Leadhand and Supervisor of any quality issues immediatelyAdhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manualAdhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbookKeep work area clean and clear of hazardsReport any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to supervisor immediatelyUse all prescribed personal protective equipmentEnsure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followedAll tools to be cleaned and maintained in good repair. Report any broken, damaged, or missing tools to your supervisor. Do not discard any damaged or broken tools.Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing hands, clean up spills (ie: ingredients, water, debris and wood)Report any foreign material findings to your supervisorAs part of food security, report any unusual people or behaviours to your supervisorAssist in other positions/departments when neededPerform all other duties as assignedSkills, Experience & QualificationsMust work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production processService oriented - high need to pleaseLevel headed - does not overreact under stressEffective communicatorPunctualTeam playerMust be dependableMust have excellent attendance and work habitsGMP and safety awareness.Trained on operation of electric pump truckEducation, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency LevelRequiredN/APreferredHigh school diploma or quivalentPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
