Aspire Bakeries champions the values of Integrity, Ownership, Customer Focus, Creativity and Care to help us deliver on People Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Collaboration.Job DescriptionJob TitleProject CoordinatorLocationAncaster, ONDepartmentProductionReporting toBakery DirectorPosition PurposeThe Project coordinator main function is to assist in and coordinate projects within the facility related to product development, engineering and the manufacturing processes.Key AccountabilitiesTo assist and coordinate projects from onset to launch.ResponsibilitiesBook all new product development,engineering, and process improvement meetings and issue meeting minutesCoordinate new product developmental work from conceptual stages through to launchA signifcant resource in enhacing our current processes and ensuring projects run more efficienctlyConducts line audits during New Product Plant trials to ensure all proper documents completedEffectively communicate and influence all parties involved in New Prodict Development to deliver on commitments to provide a successful new product launchLead daily and weekly continuous improvement and management meetings to discuss ongoing issues and develop a systematic plan to measure, identify, improve and coordinate issuesWork with multi-functional operations teams and business leaders to develop, execute and complete selected improvement projectsDemonstrates problem solving, leadership, conflict management and team buildingTrain other team members on performance improvement methodology during project executionCollaborate with other managers, supervisors, lead hands and other stakeholders in the organization to share best practices and to maximuze understanding and improvementsPerform other duties as requiredPrimarily in contact with:Sr Bakery Manager – Bakery/TechnicialBuilding Managers/SupervisorsHealth and Safety ManagerService Department Managers/SupervisorsQuality Assurance ManagerAdhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbookKeep work area clean and clear of hazardsReport any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to supervisor immediatelyUse all prescribed personal protective equipmentEnsure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followedMonitor and enforce GMP compliance by all operatorsEnsure all work areas are clean and organized and free of spills, water, wood, and debrisComplete incident reports for all FM/GMP incidentsFollow up with Health, Safety & Security Manager any reports of unusual people or behavioursPerform other duties as requiredSkills, Experience & QualificationsAnalytical reasoning, interprets and evaluates complex information, while identifying patterns and essential issuesKnowledge and experience with leading and coordinating projectsHigh standards of integrity, energy level, and self-motivationAbility to lead and motivate teamsProficient computer skills in MS Office, a statistical program (Minitab), and or/a database would be an assetAbility to demonstrate values consistent behaviourAbility and motivation to learn and try new things and new ways of improvingGood communication and presentation skills and ability to coach others and be a change agentPride in the Company and its productsTechnical competence in processs control and baking skills is an assetMust demonstrate sense of urgency, performance oriented, honesty and integrityEducation, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency LevelRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferredProject Management courses are an assetPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
