Job Description

Beausejour Co-op is hiring a Deli Manager in our Oakbank Food Store location.Who we are:Co-op does business differently.   • Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
  • Lead the deli team in providing prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers and members in alignment with our values and striving to meet our Customer Experience standards.
  • Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, hiring, training, development, performance management, assigning duties, discipline, recognition, termination, administration of policy and procedures, health & safety program and WCB claims. Ensure to schedule department staff to meet production and customer service needs in an efficient manner.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
  • Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering and commitment buys, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
  • Receive and inspect store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
  • Ensure the deli department is appropriately merchandised including tagging and pricing accuracy and ensure proper preparation of promotions and displays are completed.
Who you are:You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:
  • You have a minimum of three years of retail experience, performing at a high level. Previous retail management experience is an asset. Previous experience in a retail deli department is a serious asset.
  • You possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal). You are high energy and able to perform in a fast-paced environment. You have a special skill of motivating staff to achieve high results. A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office is required.
