  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be able to work shifts that include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Satisfactory Internal Security Check
Qualifications:Experience using various computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook and COMS
  • University degree in the Social Sciences at the Bachelor’s level with program facilitator experience or equivalent education and experience. Equivalent education and experience shall be; 1) Applied Counseling Certificate with Correctional Rehabilitation experience, or 2) Recognized Case Management Coach/Trainer and Facilitation Skills Workshop Certificate with Correctional Rehabilitation experience
  • Experience delivering cognitive behavioural programs that address criminogenic behaviour in a group as well as individual format.
  • Experience interviewing and counselling inmates
  • Experience working with inmates who are in crisis
  • Case management experience
  • Experience working with risk, need and responsivity principles
  • Knowledge of Relapse Prevention and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as it relates to offender programming
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively relate to a variety of clientele, staff and community contacts
