Job Description

Job purposeOperator is responsible for using forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materials.Duties and responsibilities

  • Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
  • Checking loads are secure
  • Stacking empty pallets
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Assist in physical inventories
  • Ensure proper stock rotation
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
