Job Description

Position Title: Quality Control (QC) Technician - Leadhand – (Scheduled 8 hours between 2:30PM and 11:00PM)Reports To: Production/QADate: March 17 2023General ResponsibilitiesThe QC Technician accurately conducts required quality audits and perform product receipts during off shift.Specific Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with product specifications and standard instructions for manufacturing product
  • Monitor adherence of receipts to quality specification
  • Assist in the development of effective training and feedback systems
  • Be familiar with controllable and non-controllable variables that influence quality of product
  • Perform and regularly report on quality audits and product quality checks
  • Review and document cleaning practices with external contractor
  • Maintain SI and Datahex documents on receipts
  • Physically unload trailers during off shift
  • Ensure accurate Bill of Materials
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work in team setting or independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to physically move loads of raw material
  • Ability to work with computers and tablets
  • Ability to cooperate with contractors
  • Good analytical and logical problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical details on food safety requirements to production staff, supervisors and management.
Working ConditionsWorking conditions include:
  • A cold working environment on a daily basis, for parts of each day.
  • Exposure to job situations where there is a possibility of injury - on a daily basis for parts of each day
  • Work involves minor physical strain/walking/standing for parts of the day on a daily basis
