Job Description

THE ROLESafety Specialist at Kupar is all about ensuring drivers are safe. We use a consultative approach and have what it takes to succeed in a high-volume environment. Kupar is looking for someone who engages and works alongside our leaders to keep everyone safe and compliant. Our ideal candidate has an exceptional ability to build connections and think outside the box every step of the way.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor files for annual review, license status and training completion.
  • Scheduling safety meetings/training when required with drivers.
  • Maintain MTO and DOT inspection reports and perform repairs etc.
  • Provide Dangerous Goods Training and issue certificates to drivers
  • Assist with driver violation files and processing.
  • Complete accident reports and statistics.
  • Making sure drivers are accurately completing accident/incident reports when required.
  • Collision / Incident Investigation.
  • Various other responsibilities.

  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Applicant Tracking System knowledge a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEThe minimum education or formal training for this position includes the following Provincial/State or other vocational or professional certification, trade license, apprenticeship or degree:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources an asset
  • HR Certification or Designation an asset
  • Experience in the transportation industry an asset
