Job Description

Generations Cleaning is a growing company that services a wide range of commercial customers such as; Large Retail Stores, Condominiums, Co-Ops, Apartment Buildings, Offices, Medical Facilities, Industrial, Manufacturing.We are looking for a part-time superintendent/heavy-duty cleaner for an apartment building in Oshawa. Our team is looking for an individual who has a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor, and who is hard-working.About the job:

  • Thorough cleaning and care of the building in ALL common areas.
  • Garbage compactor bins will be checked frequently during the shift to ensure bins are not full. When the bin is full remove the bin, push it outside, and place a new empty bin in it place at the compactor. Clean bins inside and underneath to control pest/bug by keeping wet stuck on garbage to a minimum on the floor area around the bins and by spraying inside the bins.
  • Coordinate with Contractors (if any)
  • Handle small repairs, light bulb changes and as advised by Property Manager.
  • Perform frequent outside inspections during shift – grounds, garbage area, parking lots (inside and outside) smoking posts, etc., and pick up any litter/lose debris.
  • Complete walkthrough of the building frequently during a shift to check for any spills, loose garbage, excessive mud/salt/leaves, etc., and clean as required. During a walk thorough check for burnt-out lights, exit/emergency lights, look in, and check all utility rooms (boiler room, garbage room, locker room, service rooms, garbage chutes, laundry rooms, gym, sauna, pool, underground parking, parking lots. Report to the Property Manager if any machines sound loud and noisy, paint/plaster peeling, floor tiles lifting, if any lights are burnt out, if any devices/machines look broken, or any other noticeable issues in these areas.
  • Light Admin- creating Pos for contractors, contracts
