Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s Saltwater Administrative Team located in Blacks Harbour, NB.Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.The RoleThe Saltwater System Coordinator and Planner selected will coordinate data analysis and project production metrics for saltwater production.The Saltwater System Coordinator and Planner will provide the best information and reports using different production software tools and data project software commonly used in the Aquaculture and business reporting industries.As Saltwater System Coordinator and Planner, you will be responsible for

  • Data collection, entry, and management using production software, and creating accurate and relevant reports for varying areas and teams with Power BI
  • Planning and projecting the growth, production, and harvesting of fish groups in 5 production regions
  • Familiarizing yourself with biological and production growth curves for several fish species, including KPIs used in the production of salmon.
  • Building production, health, and operational reports.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with software users and external software providers
  • Working with stakeholders regarding software updates, training, and problem-solving
A successful candidate will have:
  • Experience in database management and analysis of data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and above-average organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on data analysis and reporting software including Excel, PowerBI, and associated technologies.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working independently.
  • Experience in strategic planning and risk management
  • Experience in training end users.
  • Biological experience and knowledge related specifically to fish growth and development
