Job DescriptionCEDA is looking for Journeyman Pipefitters for an upcoming shutdown in the Conklin area. What we Offer:

Key Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
Fabricate and weld piping/equipment supports, brackets, guides
Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
Test system for leaks using testing equipment
Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal)
3rd or 4th year Apprentice certification
3+ years experience on shutdown events or long term maintenance at plant sites
H2S Alive, CSO or CSTS 2020amp; Confined Space entry First Aid, fall arrest and AWP certifications required. MUST have physical certificates onsite, no digital copies will be accepted.
Class 5 driver’s license (GDL not accepted) able to provide an abstract with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs. for 50 feet is required
Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA
