Job Description

Job DescriptionCEDA is looking for 2 Temporary Journeyman Pipefitters for our Bonnyville AB., location. Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville or Cold Lake area.This position is open to direct service providers (DSP)What we Offer:

  • Competitive rate of $48 /hour
  • Shift: 4 on and 3 off with 10 hour days
  • 2 month Term - with possibility of extension
Key Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:
  • Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
  • Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
  • Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
  • Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
  • Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
  • Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred) required
  • H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS and First Aid required.
  • Confined Space, Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) considered an asset.
  • Minimum Class 5 license (cannot be GDL), with no more than 4 demerits on abstract in last 3 years
  • Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
