Job Description

Dependable Truckamp; Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 litre truck-mounted units to 60,000 litre B-train units. Auto Body Technician We are looking for a Auto Body Technician to work on Heavy Trucks . Responsibilities:

  • Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
  • File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Mix paint, blend and match colors.
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns.
  • Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs.
  • Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling.
Working Conditions:
  • Full time, occasional overtime required depending on project.
  • Indoors, noisy, dusty.
  • Exposure to dust and fumes.
  • Working with sharp metals and power tools Skills and Abilities.
  • Proper lifting techniques to handle heavy tools and parts (up to 50lbs).
  • Dexterity and hand skills to perform technical repairs.
  • Creativity, patience and eye for detail.
  • Good colour vision.
  • Knowledge of plastics, electronics, metals, finishes and vehicle systems.
Skills:
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Automotive/ Heavy Trucks experience is an asset
  • Willing to learn, reliable, punctualamp; motivated
