The successful candidate will be a driven team member who shares our champion mindset and values. This is a hands-on role, where the candidate is expected to complete tasks while providing support and leadership to other employees in the area. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities:

• Communicate with production schedulers and other area leaders/supervisors.
• Report to the Operations Manager
• Adhere to proper procedure and safety regulations.
• Ensure correct personal protective equipment is always used.
• Promote safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Culminate a strong team culture - Lead by example.
• Monitor for potential mechanical problems and assist with routine maintenance.
• Be comfortable with all duties in the area - Direct and develop new and existing employees.
• Act as a role model, upholding Cascadia Metals #39; standards, values, and behaviours.

Requirements:

• Experience with industrial processing equipment and/or mechanical systems
• Must be highly mechanically inclined.
• Excellent communication, organizationalamp; tracking skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide others.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Average computer skills.
• Physical capability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred Experience:
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
