This position plays a vital role in helping youth build life skills, cultural identity, and emotional resilience through consistent presence, engagement, and mentorship.The successful candidate will work closely with other staff to create a stable environment that centers respect, accountability, safety, and cultural connection.Qualifications:PGNFC recognizes lived experience as an asset in supporting youth. • Diploma in Child and Youth Care, Human Services, Social Work or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum 2 years #39; experience supporting youth in residential care, outreach, or community-based settings.
• Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultures, historical trauma, and culturally grounded approaches to care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally dynamic environment.
• Strong communication, boundary-setting, and relational skills.
• Required (or willingness to obtain): First Aidamp; CPR, Food Safe, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Suicide Intervention (ASIST), and valid 4 Driver #39;s License.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening is required.
