Job Description

Aqualitas Inc. is a licensed cannabis producer, with our corporate Head Office located in Bedford, Nova Scotia, and our Production Facility located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia in the Region of Queens Municipality. We are committed to quality, sustainability and balance; in our products, our operations and our people.GENERAL PRODUCTION WORKER-FULL-TIMEWe are currently looking for General Production Workers for our Brooklyn, Queens Co. facility.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Cultivation Supervisor, your work will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Maintain a sanitary and organized work environment (flower room- walls, floors and tables)
  • Assist with all the tasks in the cultivation areas, including: cloning, pruning, transplanting, defoliation, super cropping, topping
  • Line Clearance: wash floors, ceilings, fogging the room. Sanitizing equipment before it is returned to the room and documenting Line Clearance processes
  • Operate packaging equipment and execute packaging orders in line with company and industry standards and regulations; complete required documentation (e.g., packaging worksheets, equipment cleaning logbooks) accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Washing and/or sanitizing cultivation equipment
  • Maintain cultivation area equipment: ongoing and preventative
  • Harvest, sterilize and repopulate rooms in an efficient and timely manner
  • Trimming- wet trimming, dry trimming and hand trimming.
  • Wet bucking, dry bucking and hand bucking
  • Vacuuming, mopping the floor of the room and wiping up spills
  • Do preventative maintenance and elimination of all types of molds, powdery mildew, spider, mites, root, aphids, fungus gnats, etc. in a pesticide free environment
  • Keep updated Ample Organic Inventory System
  • Apply and monitor beneficial insects
  • Waste disposal from flower rooms
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and responsible for the maintenance of the equipment
  • Maintain and verify cleaning/sanitation records
  • Working safely by exercising due diligence and reporting any hazard to the Cultivation Team Lead, Cultivation Supervisor and Head Grower
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • 0-1 year of experience in a production environment
  • Knowledge of cultivation is preferred
  • Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labour tasks required for employment in a commercial scale indoor growing facility.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GPP is an asset
Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy and dusty environment
  • Must be able to wear the required PPEs.
  • Job requires lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching and standing for extended periods of time
