CSFS is mandated to establish a comprehensive infrastructure for social, health and legal programs, for the eventual take-over of these services, consistent with the Tribal Council's objective of working towards Indian Self-Government. We deliver all services in accordance with our great law of sharing wealth set in our Bah’lats (potlatch) system. In this role, you will get to:Provide advocacy support to First Nations children and their families as well as service providers, navigating culturally appropriate servicesCommunicates the service plan to children and family and appropriate Indigenous community organizationsRaises awareness of Jordan’s Principle risk factors by performing an outreach function i.e., providing health promotion and education to front line health care and child care workersWhat You Will Bring to The Role:Experience with case coordination and/or case management involving Indigenous communities in a culturally safe mannerExperience in promoting best practices in Indigenous healthBachelor’s Degree in a health or social work profession or related discipline with 3 years of experienceThe Locations:Burns Lake, a small community with big aspirations and determination is the economic hub for the Lakes District.
