In this role, you will get to:Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and Director of Practice to develop and implement a work plan that includes pre-planning (community consultation & data gathering), planning (program development), and implementation phases of the delegation process to assume adoption servicesReviews referred cases and provides recommendations about the assessment, the coordination of services and integrated service planning regarding temporary and permanency care optionsProvides ongoing support to integrated management teams, social workers, team leaders and the Director of Practice.Models and encourages strength-based practice, collaborative practice, and practice in accordance with the Aboriginal Operational Practice Standards and Indicators (AOPSI) and the Aboriginal Policy and Practice Framework in BC.Researches and provides clinical information to practitioners, team leaders and the Director of Practice to assist them in understanding and managing serious/complex cases.What You Will Bring to The Role:Master of Social Work or Master’s in Education Counselling/Psychology preferred; ORBachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care with a minimum of three year’s recent experience as a delegated social worker in British ColumbiaSupervisory experience in a resource or adoption social work setting an assetMust be eligible and maintain C4 delegation through the Ministry of Children and Family Development in British ColumbiaIts All For You:Excellent total compensation package including competitive wages, benefits and pension planGenerous and flexible time off options unique to CSFS, promoting work life family balanceEducation, and professional development opportunitiesThe Location:Burns Lake, a small community with big aspirations and determination is the economic hub for the Lakes District.
