Faculty Appointment Types Sessional Non-NRSL Job SummaryThe College of New Caledonia requires an instructor to teach the Trades Discovery Program.Skills & Qualifications

  • A Certificate of Qualification and/or Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate in at least one of the following trades: Carpentry, Electrical, Industrial Mechanic, Plumbing or related trade
  • Five years’ experience working in the residential construction industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both individual and group situations
  • Preference will be given to applicants with recent trade experience and proven teaching and/or supervisory experience
  • Provincial (BC) Instructor Diploma will be considered an asset
  • Previous experience working with First Nations students and communities will be considered an asset
