Job Description

Equivalent ExperienceAston Carters large client in the Oil and Gas sector is looking to add a Accounts Payable Analyst to their team on a 12 month contract-to-hire basis. The AP Analyst will be working on team of 6+ working with both internal and external stakeholders in accounts payable department, more specifically with their utilities and telecommunications work lines.

  • Recovering invoices
  • Sorting incoming mail and cheques
  • Answering Vendor inquiries via email and phone
  • Calls to vendors
  • Invoicing coding and processing
  • Reconciliations
  • Process improvement
Additional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVES
  • Secondary education in Accounting
  • 6+ months of experience as an Accounting Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk etc.
  • Microsoft Office and Excel Experience
  • High level of communication both written and verbal
LIKE TO HAVE
  • Process improvement knowledge
  • 1 year AP experience
  • 3 way match experience
  • QByte or Maximo Experience
  • In pursuit of CPA designation
SOFT SKILLS
  • Ability to learn quickly
