We are seeking a customer-service focused individual that is eager to learn our time management and in-house payroll systems, to grow with our team and to support our caring culture.Key deliverables include:

  • Communicate and liaise with internal customers on a daily basis regarding Kronos and JDE Payroll. Answer questions, clarify and troubleshoot problems and questions from a system and user perspective;
  • Assist in developing educational documentation and provide training to the Kronos user group using Power Point presentations, lunch and learns, email, and one-on-one subject matter expert training;
  • Liaise with other groups within the People Department and WestJet as a whole to provide accurate and timely problem resolution for both Time Management and Payroll;
  • Assist the Payroll team with creation of ROEs (Records of Employment);
  • Assist the Time Management and Payroll Teams with filing, answering general email enquiries, vacation projections, parking administration and other duties as required.
Experience and qualifications:
  • High school completion;
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service role;
  • PCP Certificate of the Canadian Payroll Association would be an asset, or willing to obtain certification independently;
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information with diplomacy, confidentiality, and a sense of discretion;
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively prioritize work;
  • Displays professionalism and strong ethics, as well as being reliable and trustworthy;
  • Excellent communication and strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and effectively utilize resources and good judgement to solve problems;
  • Highly motivated, directive, and flexible;
  • Passionate about contributing to a positive work environment and development of company culture.
