At Swoop, our day-to-day operations are vastly different and deliberately separate, but carefully aligned to complement the big picture strategy of the group.As Swoop becomes more complex and dynamic, we are seeking a Digital Advisor to join our dynamic and creative Marketing, Digital and Communications team.Reporting to the Digital Team Lead, the Digital Advisor is accountable for front-end content management, site performance analysis and delivering on the website strategy and roadmap in support key business objectives.Key Responsibilities:An integral member of Marketing, Digital and Communications team, the Digital Advisor is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in charge of our front-end content management system (Contentful) and strategy. The Digital Advisor is responsible for managing the build and release of all sales and promotions on FlySwoop.com, reporting on performance and identifying opportunities for continual improvement. The ideal candidate is a curious and data-driven digital expert with a finger on the pulse of eComm and UX best practices and innovations, who can anticipate business needs and deliver ongoing enhancements and optimizations to platform performance, user experience and revenue generation.Collaborative and tech-savvy, the Digital Advisor also acts as the resident MarTech expert, working with stakeholders from across the organization to enable a frictionless path-to-purchase (conversion, revenue, ancillary performance) and streamlined user experience (information discovery, self-serve solutions and digital traveller support). In addition to managing the front-end optimization of FlySwoop.com, the Digital Advisor will also work closely with technology business analysts and project stakeholders to enable digital delivery of commercial priorities, identify/analyze opportunities and prioritize approved initiatives.Experience working with Contentful or a similar headless CMS required, front-end development background a considerable asset. Familiarity with aviation commerce platforms (Navitaire) and enterprise service delivery platforms (Levarti, Freshdesk, Sprinklr, Chatbots) is a considerable asset.Main Functions:

  • Content strategy and management (Website)
  • Platform optimization (Website/MarTech systems)
  • E-commerce optimization and retail activation (web/MarTech systems)
  • Digital project enablement
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Planning and delivering on the website strategy and roadmap in support key business objectives, primarily optimizing for conversions and ROAS across digital platforms
  • Managing the build and release of content updates to the website, including implementation of retail sale/promotions; operating under daily deadlines and tight turnarounds
  • Optimizing online user experience for information discovery, self-serve solutions, segmentation, and website personalization
  • Optimizing the e-commerce retail experience and implementing/improving sales strategies to drive revenue, increase ancillary revenue, etc.
  • Defining and delivering on web content strategy, including maintaining the websites CMS and information architecture, vanity URLs, page decommissions, search engine optimization, etc.
  • Maintain strong relationships with product teams, business analysts, marketing stakeholders and IT teams to implement, support and leverage our content management and marketing platform
  • Participate in the design, development and quality assurance of new enhancements and capabilities while continuously testing, learning and analyzing outcomes.
  • Support SEO strategy and destination marketing by maintaining route pages and their content, building out an ‘inspiration engine’ to draw people to our .com
  • Work with supporting stakeholders to provide ongoing reporting, monitoring and insights on website user behaviours, key metrics and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze, measure and present to leadership all digital optimizations and initiatives undertaken in a sprint or month.
  • Think outside of the box and effectively bring big ideas to life. Translate analytics into actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Have a pulse on emerging technologies and trends, seeking new technologies and integrations to better support the business
  • Ensure delivery of best-in-class, accessibility compliant, website experience while optimizing for search, content and tools
Qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent education and experience
  • 4-6 years of digital marketing, ecommerce and/or platform optimization, with a focus on conversion, user experience and revenue generation
  • Experience using content management systems (CMS) like Contentful, marketing automation tools, Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, A/B Optimization tools considered an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of search engine optimization, and user experience best practices
  • In depth knowledge of the interactive/mobile landscape and newly emerging technologies
  • Excellent communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and a proven ability to work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team of developers, designers and marketers
  • Ability to simultaneously manage all aspects of multiple projects while consistently meeting strategic objectives and deadlines and optimizing related budgets
  • Ability to interpret digital analytics, metrics, voice of the customer research insights to make key decisions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, and fluid environment.
