Job Description

Overview:Hexagons Autonomy & Positioning division, is looking for a Automation Specialist to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manager, Software Infrastructure, you will design, implement and troubleshoot systems that meet user needs for general and customizable test platforms. You will utilize your knowledge of DevOps to build a truly extensible and full featured system; and to support an ever-increasing demand for automation and testing. Solve challenging problems related to enabling high capacity, high reliability, scalability, and configurability. This position requires in-person office visits.Hexagons Autonomy & Positioning firmware group is a small but growing team responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing automated test infrastructure used in the verification and validation of software and hardware products.At Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division, youll be joining a global trailblazer, pioneering end-to-end solutions that industry leaders worldwide rely on for assured positioning and autonomy on land, sea, and air.   • Support, design, and develop all aspects of existing Jenkins/GitLab based automated testing platform
  • Identify and solve software release and testing infrastructure problems
  • Identify, build, and maintain new software release and testing infrastructure to support expanding demand and capacity throughout the entire organization
  • Identify 3rd party plug ins that meet user requirements
  • Create strong performing user interfaces, automation, and API’s
Qualifications:Must-Have:
  • B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or Computing Science with 5+ years of relevant experience, computer science or engineering
  • Experience working with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and GitLab
  • Proven coding and automation skills (e.g. Python, Java, Groovy)
  • Experience using REST APIs for data gathering and tool automation
  • Proven ability to create good user interfaces and API’s
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems containing hardware and software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
