Job descriptionAutomotive Service Advisor(Full-time)Your role in this well-oiled machine: As a LAD’S Automotive Service Advisor, think of yourself as our steering and suspension system…You’re responsive to the needs of each customer. You confidently guide vehicles in and out the shop, providing estimates, timelines and customer invoicing. If there are bumps in the road, you do your best to eliminate surprises and ensure a smooth and comfortable journey.Ultimately, you are the face of LAD’S Auto. It’s a big responsibility. You’re the conduit between the customer and the service team. To excel at the job, you’ll need a solid understanding of automotive parts and repairs, and are driven to expand your knowledge. People skills, along strong written and verbal communications are essential. You’ll be expected to quickly come up to speed on our estimating, billing, parts and inventory systems, and will help us ensure we are achieving our targeted margins.Required Credentials: · Customer Service Diploma / Accreditation / Certification / Training· Office Administration Diploma / Accreditation / Certification / Training· Valid high school diploma or equivalent· Valid driver’s license (must supply driver’s abstract upon request)· Must be bondableRequired Qualifications/ Technical Skills: · Great written and verbal communication skillso Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English· Basic knowledge of vehicles and mechanical requirements· Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Windows & Office)· Ability to learn and operate our management system parts matrix· The skills to achieve targeted margins on revenue categories· Computer software knowledge (shop management systems)· Physical fitness to perform required duties of job description· Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute· Neat and legible printing/ handwriting· Understanding of gross profit / gross margin markup· Familiarity with TD payment system· Familiarity with Nortel Networks telephone systemFamiliarity with ProtractorDuties and Responsibilities: · General Administrative Tasks· Pre-booking future service appointment for every vehicle· Managing, reviewing and explaining vehicle maintenance schedules to each client· Arranging customer transportation when required, setting up in advance where possible· Practicing up-front selling of services· Answering telephone promptly and courteously with shop approved greeting· Ensuring clients receive “WOW” factor· Scheduling adequate time for vehicle service· Implementing & supporting policies, systems & procedures· Utilizing our service line prioritization system· Reviewing rack workflow for consistency· Utilizing appropriate service rate system· Using our parts bin system· Managing parts, inventory, returns and warranties· Maintaining a clean and tidy facility / personal workstation· Handing out business cards & company literatureJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $21.00-$28.00 per hourSchedule:
