Check out each description below to see which role you are most suited for!Business Consultant:As a Business Consultant, you will join our Project Management Department. At IBM, our Project Management team excels by leading and coordinating a project team’s overall performance, scope, cost and deliverables for key leading Canadian clients. • Business Consultant Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assisting with administering and controlling all aspects of the project including the project plan, project documents, time reporting and financial controls.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules, meeting minutes, develop and maintain issue logs and project documentation repositories.
  • Develop presentation documents as required for project teams and consolidate project status reports.
  • Producing month-end project financial reports in collaboration with corporate project financial controller.

IT Specialist:As an IT Specialist, you will join our Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) Software Development Department. IBM’s HCS Software Development department is the trusted services partner that provides open, secure, hybrid multi-cloud solutions aligned to our client’s business needs. Using advanced technologies, we transform enterprises and provide complete cloud solutions from strategy to modernization, testing, implementation, and ongoing management of critical business applications. • Software Developer Roles & Responsibilities:
  • You will use your experience in application development to design, code, test, and provide industry leading solutions for our clients
  • You will troubleshoot any development issues reported by project teams or the clients
  • You will learn one or more of the following cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, RedHat, GCP
  • You will learn IBM’s Hybrid Cloud Technology. MuleSoft, DevOps, Jenkins, Ainsble

ALL Candidates Must:

• Have graduated no earlier than 2020, and will be graduating no later than April 2022
• Have an Associate’s Degree, College Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree by date of employment
  • Exception: This program does not accept MBA or PhD candidates/graduates
• Have no more than 2 years of full-time professional related work experience
• Be eligible to work in Canada without current or future needs for visa sponsorship
• Be willing and able to live and work in Calgary, with minimal travel anticipated

Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseBusiness Consultant:

• You have strong Microsoft Excel skills and enjoy making meaningful evaluations of a given set of data (tables, excel files etc.)
• You have excellent domain, oral and written communication skills, relationship management, and issue management skills
• You enjoy working in a team environment with team members of a diverse background and skill set along with being comfortable working on your own to complete individual assigned tasks
• You will have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and executives
• You can learn new processes, coach, and direct team members
• You enjoy problem solving and delivering innovative solutions to complex problems that address client needs

IT Specialist:

• You can work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers
• You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
• You have basic knowledge or hands on coding experience in one or more of the following technology areas:
  • C++, C, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, ASP .NET
• You have an excellent understanding of the software development life cycle and software testing
