Job Description

Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Calgary office:Client Relationship Management - SpecialistWhat can you expect

  • Work collaboratively with Client Executive(s) to build a trusted advisor relationship with complex clients:
  • Driving ‘Best in Front’ strategies and engaging with resources/expertise in the best interest of our clients
  • Initiate new revenue for the firm through the acquisition of new clients or the expansion of revenues from existing clients
  • Develop strong relationships with professional counterparts at client organizations
  • Support the CE in achieving yearly growth targets by:
  • Enhancing client relationships, a profitable book of business and supporting our new business producers in acquiring new clients
  • Cultivating and maintaining a strong professional network

We will count on you to:
  • The ability to research opportunities, conduct outreach, and create new opportunities Clear and concise communication, engaging, and authentic discussionMatching challenges and needs and articulating solutions
  • Utilize business-level information (e.g. financial statements) to move a conversation forward around risk, relevant pain points and ROI (engage at a BBE level)Current product knowledge.Understand and message w.r.t the local market and upcoming trendsUp to speed on different client types, market trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Lead a disciplined negotiation process e.g. Service agreements.Understand how to respond to the major types of objectionsStaying in the moment and ensuring there is clear understanding of what the client is saying
  • Engaging appropriately and taking a fully integrated approach across the spectrum of Marsh and MMCOrchestration of people and resources. Actively working together
  • Manage the planning, strategic touchpoints and client lifecycle effectivelyUtilization of tools and applications e.g. Marshforce, Mshare, LINQ, Microsoft suite etc.
What you need to have:
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge
  • Strong business acumen with well-rounded knowledge of general business and finance
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to interact with all levels of a client organization
  • Strong organizational skills to multi-task and partner with various internal teams
What makes you stand out:
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance
  • Working towards (F)CIP/CRM/ or CAIB designation
  • Experience in managing complex clients
  • Maintain appropriate levels of provincial licensing requirements
