Job Description

We made air travel more affordable for Canadians and now were going global.Join us and love where you’re going.As WestJet becomes more complex and dynamic, we are seeking an Inflight Operations Coordinator reporting into the Senior Manager, Inflight Operations and provides support to the Inflight Base Managers, Inflight Experience and Cabin Provisioning teams. As well, support for the VP, Inflight may also be required.This dynamic individual is well organized, detail-oriented, flexible, committed, and experienced in working with sensitive and confidential information. A positive approach to building strong cross functional relationships is a must along with a passion for coordination and administration.Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and secure confidential and sensitive information while exercising significant judgment and discretion regarding all communications
  • Timely management of the CRS quarantine of eReports: importing of eReports; application of departmental acknowledgement and setup procedures; and assignment to the appropriate individual(s)
  • Required to maintain an appropriate level of proficiency in processes, standards, and procedures within the CRS program
  • Establishing and maintaining CRS operating processes, standards and procedures which support the Inflight Leadership Teams
  • Troubleshooting issues that arise within the CRS; providing resolution, when applicable, or engage additional resources, such as IT or the software vendor when required
  • Monitor/support inbox; respond, resolve, and support requests in a timely manner
  • Establish and maintain a strong rapport with the Inflight Leadership Team, identifying and escalating reporting trends as required
  • Provide professional and tactful guest service regarding internal, vendor, and supplier calls and emails
  • Coordinate Inflight Programs such as, Leave of Absence program, vacancy bids
  • Sending Crew Briefings as needed for day of operational insight
  • Investigate Inflight related delays and apply appropriate corrective action measures
  • Performing other duties as assigned or required that support the Inflight Leadership Team
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
  • Efficient time management skills, with the ability to balance and prioritize numerous requirements while meeting tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Sabre crew applications an asset
  • Obtain/maintain qualifications as a Cabin Crew Member and fly monthly or when operationally required
  • Proven ability to provide a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong organization and time management skills; proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong competency with interpersonal skills and demonstrated excellence in communication skills, written and verbal
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Highly results and process improvement oriented
  • Can work independently and within a team environment
  • Exceptional personal OTP and performance
  • Ability to travel for business meetings and training
