Job Description

Remote Work:This position is not eligible for remote work, under our mobile workforce program.The Reliability Analyst is responsible to ensure that the Fleet Reliability Program meets or exceeds all Regulatory and Manufacturers requirements to maintain the aircraft as mandated by Transport CanadaResponsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Fleet Engineering Manager; the Reliability Analyst is responsible for providing technical support, guidance, troubleshooting, and training as required to address ongoing and identified reliability and technical issues to enhance technical dispatch and operational reliability performance for the Technical Operations
  • Identify reoccurring system defects, component defects, NFF (no fault found) components, rogue components and provide the corrective action as required to resolve the identified issue
  • Access and review Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) reports/publications/databases, vendor publications, component tear down reports, maintenance reports, various technical databases, websites, etc.
  • Liaise with all functional areas of the Technical Operations Departments to improve reliability, cost reduction, warranty, Maintenance Program enhancement and support new programs and projects as directed
  • Liaise with OEMs and system vendors for product support and technical resolution as required
  • Perform MSG 3 analysis applicable to OEM recommendations and/or monitor components in-service performance levels to ensure Maintenance Program standards are met
  • Represent Reliability Department internally and externally at meetings, conferences, seminars, etc. as directed and required
  • Create, present and support technical reports and/or presentations as required internally and externally
  • Responsible for Engine Trend Monitoring
  • Service Difficulty Report (SDR) reporting
  • Create budget and business cases to increase fleet reliability and safety
Industry Experience/Qualifications:
  • Hold a valid Transport Canada M or E license or equivalent experience and/or education
  • Strong knowledge and experience dealing with transport-type aircraft in a Reliability environment
  • Solid understanding of the Computer Maintenance Tracking System (TRAX) and Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Experience with Illustrated Parts Catalogue, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and MEL’s
  • Strong troubleshooting and time management skills
  • Excellent ability to multitask & handle changing priorities
  • DHC 8-400 endorsement an asset
