Job Description

Our client located in SE Calgary, is seeking a well-organized, highly motivated and number loving Junior Accountant to join their team in a full time, permanent capacity!This position will support the accounting team by assisting in the day-to-day financial activities of the company including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reconciliations.This is a great opportunity for those seeking to gain more accounting experience in a corporate environment.   • Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments
  • Monitor daily cash position; initiating transfers as required
  • Prepare and record bank deposits
  • Reconcile company credit card and expense reports
  • Assist in the completion of month end procedures and reporting requirements
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business or similar
  • 1+ years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must have strong work ethic, be highly motivated and proactive
