Job Description

Our client in SE Calgary is seeking a well-organized, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity! This role supports the accounting team by assisting with day-to-day financial activities, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations.   • Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
  • Monitor daily cash position and initiate transfers as needed.
  • Prepare and record bank deposits.
  • Reconcile company credit card and expense reports.
  • Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or one year of experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, motivation, and a proactive approach.
