Position OverviewThe Department of Human Resources is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Junior Analyst, Systems and Reporting.This position is within the PeopleSoft systems and reporting function of the Human Resources Process Transformation department. Process Transformation enhances and maintains HR business systems and processes.Reporting to the Manager, Process Transformation, the analyst is responsible for configuration and maintenance of the PeopleSoft system to enable users to manage the student, employee and business operations of the University of Calgary for Human Resources and Payroll.The work environment is open concept with a moderate level of speech-generated noise. There may be situations that require the employee to work outside and in addition to core business hours (e.g. resolving a critical problem, validating a system change).The primary purpose of this position is to maintain and enhance the PeopleSoft system. This work includes analyzing business requirements and designing, testing and implementing solutions, which may include business process changes, modifications to existing functionality, or new functionality within the PeopleSoft application.Work arises from observed issues/problems with the current system, and requests for enhancements or new functionality, including the business plan and objectives of the organization and HR departments.
