  • Work Location: Calgary, AB.
  • Length of assignment: 1 year.
  • Positions available: 1.
  • Travel required: 10%
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the PHA planning and preparation processes, including charter development, PSI review and safeguard validation.
  • Follow and execute PHA end-to-end process according to established business practice and corporate standards/guideline.
  • Prepare PHA-Pro worksheet ahead of PHA.
  • Partake in PHA sessions to ensure consistent application of methodology per corporate standards/guideline.
  • Collaborate with multi stakeholders in reviewing, editing, and concluding PHA output including final report.
  • Enter PHA action items in Enablon.
  • Participate in Project PHAs and MOC PHAs; contribute and provide guidance as needed, facilitate/scribe smaller-scale PHAs as needed.
  • Other PSM related tasks as assigned.
Experience and Education:
  • 7-10 years relevant experience, including process safety systems and process controls.
  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree or related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong time management skills, poised under pressure, manage priorities, and react promptly to meet deadlines with high-quality work.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority.

  • PHA Facilitation and Scribe skills and experience, specifically HAZOP, What-if, LOPA.
  • Knowledge of downstream operations specifically refinery and logistics/mid-stream to understand process safety corrective actions.
  • Process Safety Management.
  • Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
  • Management of Change (MOC).
  • P&ID and PFD reading proficiency.
  • Special software – Enablon and PHA-Pro.
  • Process oriented, organized, attention to detail, time management, interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills.
