The Protective Services team is seeking a dedicated, ambitious and collaborative Protective Services Officer, within the Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH). The Alberta Children’s Hospital boasts 141 inpatient beds within four medical units and a children’s mental health unit. In addition, we have the Rotary Flames House which provides palliative care and community-based hospice services for children with life-limiting illnesses. As a Protective Services team member, you will nurture positive relationships with all the patients, families, staff, and the community. As a successful candidate, you must be acutely aware of the empathy required while at the same time continuing to maintain your authority and ensure the safety of everyone. You will have the ability to solve diverse and sensitive problems while collaboratively and proactively coming up with alternate solutions. You will also respond to security, fire and personal safety related issues in accordance with current legislation and established AHS and site policies and procedures.
