Job Description

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (Triton) is seeking an energetic, detailed-oriented, and motivated Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment of all positions across Triton’s office, as well as building a talent pool of qualified candidates.We are an employee-owned environmental consulting firm with over 30 years of experience responding to the environmental needs of resource developers across all sectors, as well as all levels of government. We offer competitive wage and benefits packages.THE ROLEThe Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the HR Manager, working in collaboration with operations managers and will be responsible for attracting and recruiting top talents for all positions at Triton, while creating an exceptional candidate and hiring team experience.Specific duties may include the following:

  • Understand the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities of the business, and develop customized talent sourcing and attraction strategies to successfully fill positions
  • Utilize sourcing tools and techniques to source passive talent such as headhunting, online social networking, traditional networking, cold calling, and referrals
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates including but not limited to; social media, colleges, universities, and relevant professional associations
  • Screen resumes, share with the hiring managers and conduct first-level phone screens confirming skills and work experience align with job requirements
  • Champion the employer brand and promote Triton culture and value propositions
  • Develop content for job postings in collaboration the hiring managers and collaborate with hiring managers on needs analysis, sourcing strategies, interviewing process and selection
  • Continuously work to enhance a positive candidate experience including maximizing the efficiency and timeliness of the recruitment process while demonstrating the highest level of quality and integrity to potential hires
  • Track and report on recruitment statistics and metrics to improve best practices, existing tools, and processes, and develop new and innovative methods that facilitate Triton’s ability to attract and hire the best talent
  • Identify emerging recruitment trends and provide recommendations for innovative search strategies
  • Organize, plan, and coordinate participation in Career Fairs to further build awareness on opportunities at Triton. Assess the return on our investment and make recommendations to the HR Manager for future sessions
  • Participate in ad hoc talent acquisition projects, programs, and events as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources. RPR or CPHR designation preferred
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in talent acquisition, recruiting for all levels of the business
  • Experience in recruiting science or engineering roles
  • Proven track record working in a high volume recruitment setting
  • Excellent organizational skills, networking, and sourcing skills with proven ability to manage multiple searches/requisitions
  • Ability to counsel, coach and provide feedback to hiring managers across levels on interviewing, hiring practices and procedures
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative working style with a strong customer service focus
