Job Description

Come and lead our clients team as a Production Coordinator!Job Summary:The Production Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of production activities to reach company goals. The Production Coordinator will manage resources within the work environment such as labour, raw material inventory & availability, and more. In addition, the Production Coordinator will also provide continuous oversight of manufacturing work order status in order to help adapt the production schedule as needed.Key Responsibilities:In this role as a Production Coordinator, you will be asked to...

  • Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service
  • Maintain good working relationships with all co-workers and employees
  • Assist in the success of the Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work
  • Coordinate production planning, scheduling, and work assignments
  • Develop and monitor production schedules
  • Communicate with plant managers, team leads and supervisors regarding capacities, production targets and scheduling concerns as they come up
  • Optimize production processes by identifying production control problems
  • Assist with managing the day to day of the operations
  • Review inventory often
  • Assist Plant Manager with ensuring personnel are complying with schedules and assignments
  • Drive cost-effective measures to achieve exceptional operational results
  • Ensure adequate safety procedures are in place; as well as ensure personnel are complying with safety protocols
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by management
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Operations Management or in Industrial Engineering, or another related field
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or related industry, within a production planning, scheduling or coordination role
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is required
  • Production & Inventory Management (certification through APICS is an asset)
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain management
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in MS Office
Compensation:
  • $70,000 or more depending on experience
  • A bonus of up to $5,000 annually dependent on job performance
