Job Description

Site AssistantA local Calgary and area builder, Partners Development Group has been building multifamily communities that encourage healthy living and enhance family well-being since 1998. We also have built over 200,000 sqft of commercial spaces and continue to grow this area, as well as our land development division. We are currently building in multiple areas throughout Calgary and Okotoks.We welcome others to join our growing group of conscientious, fun-loving individuals and are looking for an experienced Site Assistant. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, paid time off over Christmas and a supportive culture to help you become a success within this role.Your New RoleWorking closely with your Site Supervisor, and reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping build our dynamic multifamily communities, with our highly experienced construction team. This role will lead the quality assurance program under the supervision of a Site Superintendent.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct work experience working in new construction.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpreting blueprints, schematics, field drawings, project specifications, and plans.
  • Light/heavy tool work with a solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques, as this is a physical, hands-on role.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines.
  • Act as required, to address issues in a proactive manner.
  • Work with the site supervisor to ensure that all finishes, selections, and upgrades are as per client request.
  • Perform deficiency repairs such as framing repairs, minor taping and paint repairs, install locks and miscellaneous hardware (ex: signage on houses), cabinet and flooring touch ups, window install (includes basement), door adjustment, stairs and handrail installation, flooring repairs, etc.
  • Address issues that arise in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor the receipt, use, and storage of major equipment/materials.
  • Maintain construction sites cleanliness and safety from garbage and debris, snow removal, sweeping, pressure washing, and ensuring that access into and out of sites are safe and clean for trades, suppliers, homeowners, and the community.
  • Lead quality assurance reviews on all finishing scopes of work as per the companys quality assurance standards.
  • Adhere to safety administration and compliance, including daily field level hazard assessments.
  • Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related residential building codes.
  • Previous experience overseeing construction worksites would be considered an asset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently, coordinate several simultaneous tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and flexible work style.
  • Other related duties as required, including general computer skills.
