This role is responsible for the front-end/functional technical support and development on the Sitecore Experience Platform, Coveo and related systems. The Sitecore specialist works closely with company-wide business and functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancement and feature development on Suncor’s external website and search functionality.You will use your expertise to:A solid understanding of how to create responsive web experiences within SitecoreFamiliarity with Containers and GitHubKnowledge of software engineering, front-end and back-end web development, cloud computing services, and SDLCFundamental knowledge of Agile and DevOps principlesAre technically curious and stay up-to-date on the latest capabilities of the Sitecore and associated web platformsExcellent consultation skills and collaborative approach towards working with stakeholdersPassionate about creating exceptional digital experiences with a focus on end-user experienceFlexible, dependable and able to take initiativeAble to quickly build confidence, respect and trust with othersHave a positive approach to daily tasks and have a solutions focused working methodWe’d like to review your application if you have…Must-haves (minimum requirements):University degree in computer science, information technology, or a related disciplineMinimum of eight years web development experienceStrong technical knowledge of web content management systems with specific knowledge of:Sitecore and Coveo with a demonstrated understanding of how to leverage advanced Sitecore and Coveo capabilities including personalization, A/B testing, analytics, etcExperience working on projects on the Sitecore platform using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and PowerShellExperience developing for WCGA 2.1 (AODA Web Accessibility-AA standard)W3C norms, XHTML and DOMAlignment with our values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrityPreference for:Sitecore and Coveo experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong enterprise WCMS experience will be consideredHands-on cloud experience in large environments with Sitecore & CoveoWeb development experience with energy and/or retail companiesKnowledge of industry-standard DevOps Platform tools such as GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and JiraHand-on experience managing content in SitecoreExperience with information architecture, experience design, SharePoint, Office M365, and/or measurement and analytics is an additional assetWhere you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to FridayWe require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
