The role of Associate, SGT will be to assist in the timely, accurate & impactful provision of RFPs, Proposals and Presentations; Industry Programs & Products documentation plus; Sales and Service support as directed.This role encompasses SGT’s RFP Bid Management process of both Defensive and Offensive RFPs and includes the national support of Gallagher Canada’s Area Presidents in retaining existing business; securing new sales and; supporting organic growth. The role will also include the management of the Sales intranet’s sales content, technical support towards Industry Program presentations and coordination with national resources to the benefit of the Canadian business.Other duties as required include but is not limited to:Key Account Renewal Submission preparation & collaboration; Client & Prospect Proposals; Program Development Support; GBS Cross-Sales support, analytical support through Gallagher’s Drive platform and, collaboration with client facing sales collateral and/or thought leadership materials. This role requires a foundational level of insurance industry knowledge to provide optimal support to Gallagher’s Area Presidents, VP SGT and other SGT Associates as necessary in demonstrating Gallagher’s strength and value propositions to clients and prospects alike while supporting the Canadian Businesses dominant priorities.This role requires a working level of commercial insurance industry knowledge to provide optimal support to Gallagher’s Area Presidents, Manager, Strategic Initiatives and VP, SGT as necessary in demonstrating Gallagher’s strength and value propositions to clients and prospects alike while supporting the Canadian Businesses dominant priorities.Key Responsibilities

  • Producer and Area President support of RFPs from start to finish. This includes validation, document drafting and QA, technical writing and proposal design.
  • Expectations may also include the dissemination of Public Tender RFPs on a regular basis. Work closely with associated Producers, Area Presidents and SGT Leaders to collect, collate and decipher data, response questions and content materials in line with the requirements of the bid and in the most impactful way. Project manage multiple opportunities and requests for sales support simultaneously prioritizing as required in line with the goals and objectives of the Canadian business.
  • Build relationships with National Teams including but not limited Legal, Operations, Finance, GBS, Specialty Practices, HR and Global Resources as required to fulfil the role’s obligations. Ensure all materials produced are in line with corporate brand guidelines and are representative of the Gallagher Brand in Canada.
  • Wednesday Webinar series - Assist with the creation, coordination, facilitation and recording of regular educational and/or webinars with potential to present on critical topics. Work with SGT and/or Senior Leaders across the business to create technical training content (videos & process guides) to support sales, growth and retention activities Work closely with internal and external design resources to project manage the typesetting, design and print process of necessary sales collateral or presentation documents Clearly manage business expectations at all times, by communicating progress, informing VP SGT of progress and/or requirement for success and educating the business on SGT processes and appropriate timeframes.
  • Deliver a ‘best in class’ service to your clients - the business - by being professional, punctual and proactive. Adhere to all compliance, legal, and risk directives, particularly with regards to Financial Promotions sign off, and Gallagher group standards for data protection, CASL etc. Other Responsibilities Include Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Carry out other duties as required to promote SGT as a best-in-class National Practice which may include but is not limited to; Technical
  • Copywriting around Brochures, Sell Sheets & Thought Leadership; Systems & Technical Support to the Canadian Business around our CRM platform; GBS Cross-Sales Support and/or Specialty Programs & Practice Development Nationalization of Programs. Provide the lead and coordination and/or creation of internal MS Teams presentations; Technical Training Webinars and/or dissemination of internal educational support.

Education & Experience
  • University degree in a related business function. Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance industry experience in any of the following: Broking, Underwriting, Loss Adjusting, Sales or Client Service. A foundational understanding of insurance is necessary.
  • Brokers License and/or CRM Designation is preferred.
  • A willingness to obtain either within 12 months of the role is preferred. A solid working understanding of Gallagher in Canada’s Commercial Insurance and/or Benefits strengths would be advantageous.
  • MS Office proficiency (esp. Word and PowerPoint) is necessary and MS Excel proficiency is desired.
  • Knowledge of InDesign is an asset. Excellent attention to detail including proficiency in MS Teams or Conferencing software.
