Job Description

Join us and work for a technology company where your ideas can make a difference.Brief DescriptionSMART is recruiting a Technical for its North America territory, preference to be based in Calgary, Canada, but the role can also be remote.Detailed DescriptionReporting to the Director, Business Sales, you will be responsible for delivering revenue results by providing technical sales leadership with SMARTs solutions, specifically by demonstrating how to configure an existing network to deploy Miracast, airplay (bonjour), and google cast (mDns), how SMART can bridge the distance of a hybrid work and learning environment (by using modern web conferencing), and how to remotely manage and administer SMART solutions with SMART Remote Management. You will need to be an expert in Learning Suite Online (SLSO), Notebook software, Meeting Pro software, TeamWorks software and SMARTs display lineup. In addition, you will build education and conferencing design strategies, achieve customer buy-in for identified solution areas, discuss and deliver on technical presentations and roadmaps, drive customer decisions and deployments, and partner with internal and external stakeholders for success.Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and leadership in account opportunities working with key stakeholders:
    • Subject matter expert in SMARTs hardware and software portfolio.
    • Present value proposition, solution architecture, design specifics, deployment recommendations, roadmap and competitive positioning in formal and informal settings.
    • Ensure adoption and ongoing revenue streams.
    • Channel partner support in driving sales.
  • Participating in product overview presentations, demos and owning all aspects of pre-sales technical work to drive revenue.
  • Providing deep technical knowledge to qualify sales opportunities. This includes discussion of product features and security, network impact, and pros/cons of competitive products.
  • Helping manage initial pilots or trial usage of products by qualified accounts. This may include provisioning products, assisting with any installation problems, answering technical questions, and providing help with any support issues and the support process.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the NA Sales team as measured by quota attainment against sales and scorecard goals.
  • Advising on the integration of the SMART solution into existing infrastructures. Addressing security, network in Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365 or on-premises AD, Lync, Exchange, etc.) and Google environments, and paving the way for our software and hardware portfolio into customer accounts.
Job RequirementsCandidates must have at least the following qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 2 years in an IT or AV field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in education and enterprise collaboration technologies and its relation to interoperability between Microsoft 365 and Google.
  • Have a solid working knowledge of wireless protocols (802.11(x), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and common methods of configuration for enabling screencasting effectively and securely.
  • Experience with MDM and other remote management tools (intune, GoGardian, System center etc.).
  • Excellent presentation skills and in-depth technical and business value knowledge of SMART and competitive technologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a strong passion for driving business.
  • Great communication and consultative selling skills and sincerely customer-focused.
  • Ability to work with multiple sales districts, excellent time management skills.
  • Results-driven, well organized, flexible, and have strong follow-up skills.
A plus:
  • Microsoft and/or Google certifications.
  • Cisco or network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.).
