Location: Calgary, AlbertaPosition Type: Permanent Full-timeSummaryThe UC Specialist provides installation and support services working within Combat Service Orders (SO) as assigned by a Service Manager. The UC Specialist is fully engaged in high-end voice and collaborative solutions, and making all kids of products work together in an IP and SIP environment. They provide creative, engaged solutions under tight timelines to customers satisfactions.Primary ResponsibilitiesAction tickets through customer or Combat ticketing systemIntegration and support for a wide range of productsRespond to monitoring alarms and provide remediationGenerate, facilitate and manage vendor ticketsPreventative maintenance as requiredProvide knowledge and mentorship to other functionsPassword resets, MAC (Moves/Add/Change)Trunking and routing changesApplication supportPreventative maintenanceKnowledge base for team members, operations and salesEngage in product training, knowledge transfersEngage Combat resources as neededThis position may be required to perform other duties as assigned not otherwise captured in this position description.Skills & Experience RequiredBachelors’ degree or diploma in electronics technology or related field required.Nortel/Avaya certifications in at least two streamsMinimum 2 years experience in a telephony environmentKnowledge of networking and IP infrastructuresOperations and repair knowledge in applications including; voicemail, call recording, soft phones, conferencing, desktop messagingFluent in IP, connectivity, routing, integration, product configuration and testingDemonstrated professionalism and experience working in a corporate environment.Strong communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to diagnose, investigate and triage under time constraintsClean driving abstractAbility to obtain and maintain security clearances; provincial/federal and customer specific as required.About CombatCombat Networks is a full-service provider and network integrator, specializing in comprehensive converged network solutions (voice, video and data networking) for the full lifecycle of clients’ communication needs.
