Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYWildhorse is looking for a Liquor Supervisor to fill out their team on a full-time seasonal contract. Liquor Supervisors are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to: ensuring the accurate hand over of requisitioned product, verifying inventory counts, reporting to Liquor Managers, receiving liquor orders and weighing out bars.VENUE SUMMARYThe Wildhorse Saloon is your destination for the greatest Stampede Party in Calgary. Located in the heart of downtown, we’ve got daily concerts, western barbecue, Double Zero pizza, a non-stop dance floor, our own outdoor midway, and 20+ bars serving drinks that will knock your boots off!COMPENSATION

  • Hourly Wage: $31 - $35 per hour (including tips)

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Liquor Managers on setting up initial requisitions for bars / beer tubs
  • Assist with weighing in/out bars and with beer/non-alcoholic beverage counts and correctly write down weights and counts every time
  • Assist picking bar requisitions from reefers
  • Verify picked requisitions are correct prior to sending the product out with the Bar Assistants and verify the BA is working the bar the product is being sent to
  • Ensure all requisition sheets are signed by both a liquor team member and also the BA for the bar and file away the req sheet kept at the liquor tent and is filed into the correct bar folder
  • When requisition sheets are returned by the BA, assist with matching the returned sheet that includes the bartender signature with the sheet signed by the liquor team member and BA that was signed when product was sent out
  • Be organized and be able to correctly write down requisitions for liquor (bottle counts, ounces) and canned product (counts) on the correct bar req sheet as reqs are sent it and once completed put req sheets on clipboard and give to picker
  • Help organize the reefers to ensure product is easily accessible and easy to count daily to verify inventory
  • Assist and delegate direction when putting away delivered liquor orders and stock orders
  • Help keep staff motivated and feeling positive throughout Stampede! Be a leader!
  • Help marry bottles and organize canned product at the end of Stampede to ensure everything is organized to be returned
  • Assist in transporting bar product back to the liquor area at the end of each night
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Previous hospitality experience is required.
  • Previous restaurant or bar environment that administered weigh-outs and paybacks is an asset.
  • Supervisor and bartending experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and customers.
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail and exceptional time management
  • Ability to fluently communicate in both written and verbal English
  • Must have a basic knowledge of the floor plan, service procedures and functions.
  • Possesses basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Have strong sense of integrity
  • Pro Serve Certification required.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
