Job Description

Becoming part of the Naturally Pacific team will allow you to engage in the hospitality industry within an expanding company that values every individual #39;s input and celebrates achievements collectively.The RoleAs a key member of our team the Landscape Gardener will assist the Horticulturist in producing and maintaining world class ornamental and natural displays on the golf course and resort property.Your contributions to the team include:

  • Assists the Horticulturist and the assistant Horticulturist in all facets of landscaped areas property wide.
  • Weeding, mulching, edging, shearing, pruning, planting, watering, and fertilizing.
  • Safely operates power equipment such as hedge trimers, line trimmers, blowers, etc.
  • Maintains fuel/fluid levels for all types of equipment used daily; reports any equipment problems.
  • Returns all equipment used daily; assists in the weekly cleaning of all maintenance buildings.
  • Occasionally assists the Agriculturist.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.
A few things we are looking for in a new team member:
  • Physical strength, stamina, and agility with the ability to work early mornings.
  • Working knowledge of ability to use hand power tools and equipment an asset.
  • Team oriented personality.
  • Strong listening skills, taking written or oral direction.
  • Ability to complete work to a high visual standard.
  • Knowledge on the game of golf, or willingness to learn.
  • Possession of or willingness to acquire BC Pesticide Applicator license would be considered an asset, though not required.
