Join the No. 1 ranked architecture firm (2017 Architect 50 Sustainability Category: Architect Magazine) and work alongside the best talent in the world who will challenge and inspire you every day!We are looking for a talented and professional Architectural Sustainability Analyst with 2-5 years of experience supporting and providing sustainable analysis in the pursuit of sustainable performance goals. The role will be a blend of architecture and sustainability with an approximate 50/50 split between architectural work and sustainability analysis. This role is based in our downtown Vancouver, B.C. office, where each day we ideate, collaborate and create, supported by a culturally diverse group of architectural professionals, in-house leading-edge technology including digital fabrication, virtual design and realization, and physical modelling. Our Vancouver team thrives on multi-disciplinary engagement while practicing at the intersection of architecture and urban design and are distinguished by our creative and intellectual curiosity.The current compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000 CAD annually, dependent on education and experience.As an Architectural Sustainability Analyst, you will…

  • Be responsible for developing project specific analysis (including Whole Building LCA, daylighting, view out) in the support of defining the sustainable vision and project goals.
  • Produce design drawings, presentation drawings, graphic design work, and digital and physical modeling in support of Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design, as well as marketing efforts.
  • Perform rudimentary architectural assignments and work collaboratively with others toward design solutions.
  • Liaise with external and internal consultant teams to develop design strategies that meet the sustainable vision and project goals.
  • Coordinate and document LCAs (and other documentation) for LEED, Fitwel, ILFI and other sustainable certifications.
  • Support the delivery of projects based in Canada and the US in their pursuit of higher building performance.
  • Support benchmarking and iterative modeling to drive carbon reduction strategies.
  • Support the development of sustainable performance goals in the Vancouver office and ZGF US offices.
Qualifications:
  • Professional Architectural degree with 2-5 years of experience supporting sustainability projects deliveries, including certification documentation (LEED, WELL, Fitwel) and sustainable analysis (including Whole Building LCA, daylighting, view out).
  • Ability to present analytical results to project teams and clients to bridge between technical analysis and practical decision-making.
  • Architectural experience working with complex multi-phased higher education, large transit, healthcare, civic and/or commercial development projects is desired.
  • Experience using Whole Building LCA tools including Tally, OneClick, EC3, and Athena. Along with experience using DIVA, Climate Studio, LightStanza, IES, or other sustainable performance building analysis software.
  • Proficient in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper for Rhino, Adobe Suite, and MS Office Suite.
  • Thrives in a project-driven, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks with ease.
