We are continuously expanding to better serve the resort communities of the Rocky Mountains. MTN HOUSE by Basecamp will be a new luxury property added to the Basecamp Properties portfolio. MTN HOUSE will have 99 newly renovated hotel rooms, an elevated fine dining restaurant and a Nordic Spa (opening July 2024). MTN HOUSE will represent a luxurious hotel, with all amenities right on location, so all guests can enjoy an experience like no other in the heart of the mountains. Position Overview We require a full-time Food & Beverage Manager that will be responsible for the development and management of day-to-day front of house Food and Beverage operations.Salary: based on experienceFull-time/PermanentKey Responsibilities · Human Resources** - Promotes the Basecamp Brand.- Work with People & Culture on recruitment and performance management.- Conducts onboarding, training, and “on the floor” coaching with all direct reports.- Conduct 3-month probationary reviews and annual reviews of all direct reports.- Lead by example with regard to all Basecamp Policies and Procedures.- Implements and manages the restaurants health and safety plan and meetings with the health and safety committee.· Revenue & Financial**- Work closely with the Restaurant Chef and employees to ensure the restaurant and bar is optimized to produce highest possible revenue at all times.- Manages daily front of house labour and measure against budgeted targets.- Accountable for overall hotel beverage cost based on budgeted targets.- Provide monthly financial outlooks including labour and expense forecasts.- Conduct monthly inventory counts of Front of House food, beverage and supplies.- Creates and organize special events that promote the restaurant and drive revenue.· Operations**- Oversee day to day operations including floorplan management, section assignments, reservations management, opening/closing duties, beverage ordering, room service, and other tasks as necessary.- Be present on the floor during peak meal periods to provide support, guidance, and direction.- Responsible for the development and maintenance of a high end beverage program including cocktails, craft beers, and wine list.- Insists upon meticulous cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and bar.- Manages room service operations and ensure all guest floors are clear of any plateware and glassware.- Contribution to overall hotel goals including financial targets, review scores, and employee engagement.- Collaborates with the front desk to identify any VIPs, special needs, or dietary requests for in house guests.- Address guest concerns and implement the appropriate service recovery steps.- Schedules and tracks restaurant deep cleans as necessary.- Maintain temperature logs for all front of house refrigeration equipment.Requirements- 2-3 years of previous F&B Management in an upscale environment.
