Job Description

Come join our team at The Malcolm Hotel! We are currently looking for House Persons to work as part of the Housekeeping team in our outstanding hotel and conference centre.House Persons are responsible for maintaining the cleaning standards of the public areas of the Hotel and assisting with deliveries to Housekeepers and Guests.The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning all entrances and public areas of the hotel.
  • Washing floors, cleaning washrooms, and cleaning windows.
  • Vacuuming and dusting public areas.
  • Assisting in cleaning rooms when required.
  • Emptying garbage and removing recyclable items.
  • Stocking and sorting supplies, picking up soiled lined and delivering it to the laundry room.
  • Moving furniture and boxes, and unpacking deliveries.
  • Delivering supplies to Housekeepers.
  • Assist in maintaining walkways and paths throughout all types of weather.
We are looking for individuals with previous Housekeeping or House Person experience in a high-end resort or hotel. Must be available to work a flexible schedule.Full-time employees qualify for group health benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.Subsidized shared staff accommodation is available for full-time employees, pending availability. All units are fully furnished with the essentials in the bedroom, kitchen, and living room including free internet and cable. Each unit has its own kitchen, bathroom and in-suite laundry. As all units are shared we are unable to accommodate pets.We offer a generous summer bonus program, earn an additional $2/hour for every hour worked from June 15th to October 15th.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, SeasonalPart-time hours: 16-40 per weekSalary: $18.00-$20.00 per hourAdditional pay:
