Job Description

Are you passionate about cooking Do you have a keen sense of taste and smell Is keeping a clean environment important to you We pride ourselves on the culinary creations served from our kitchen, and are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to help support our culinary team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience preparing a variety of cuisine, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.Ideally looking for a candidate with 2+ years’ experience:

  • Certificate of completion of any training program in cooking, or vocational school attended gives you an edge over others
  • Must possess passion for cooking
  • Ability to multitask and display highest possible form of endurance when conditions get tough
  • Ability to adhere strictly to directives and instructions from superiors
  • Must have integrity and honesty
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Knowledge of the basic skills involved in cooking; how to prepare recipes offered by the establishment; how to use pans, knives, grills and other cooking equipment
  • Must possess the ability to be flexible
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
