Job Description

Come join our legendary team at The Malcolm Hotel! We are currently looking for an House Persons to work as part of the Housekeeping team in our hotel and conference centre.The Overnight House Person is responsible for maintaining the cleaning standards of the common areas, restaurant, and banquet rooms within the hotel.The duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning all entrances and public areas of the hotel.
  • Washing floors, cleaning washrooms & windows.
  • Vacuuming and dusting public areas.
  • Assisting in cleaning rooms when required.
  • Emptying garbage and removing recyclable items.
  • Stocking and sorting supplies, picking up soiled lined and delivering it to the laundry room.
  • Moving furniture and boxes, unpacking deliveries.
  • Assisting in maintaining walkways and paths around the hotel throughout all types of weather.
  • Opening the pool area.
Preference will be given to those with previous Housekeeping or House Person experience. The successful candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule.Full-time employees qualify for group health benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.Subsidized shared staff accommodation is available for full-time employees, pending availability. All units are fully furnished with the essentials in the bedroom, kitchen, and living room including free internet and cable. Each unit has its own kitchen, bathroom and in-suite laundry. As all units are shared we are unable to accommodate pets.We offer a generous summer bonus program, earn an additional $2/hour for every hour worked from June 15th to October 15th.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $20.00-$23.00 per hourAdditional pay:
