Job Description

The Grizzly Paw is a craft brewery and hospitality company located in Canmore, AB at the heart of the Canadian Rockies since 1996. We are fiercely committed to our guests, colleagues, community and environment by crafting fresh food, a dynamic beer selection, locally made soda and engaging experiences.We are looking for an outgoing and knowledgeable leader who is willing to learn and ready to provide our colleagues and customers with memorable culinary experiences!Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fun, fast pace, high volume environment. Its a BrewPub!
  • Flex schedule (5x8hrs or 4x10hrs), health benefits, summer bonus, tip pool, staff accom available.
  • This role is responsible to ensure recipes in prep kitchen are followed, PAR levels are maintained, and both kitchens’ needs are met according to business levels
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, lead by example and hone the skills of others.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
  • Complete ordering and month-end inventories in a timely, accurate manner and ensure financial targets are achieved (food cost, labour ratios).
  • Communication with FOH staff and managers to anticipate volume and demand.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure efficiency in the workplace.
  • Maintain proper audit track records, follow company policies & procedures
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments
  • Follow health, safety, prevention and sanitation guidelines at all time
  • Consider the environmental impact in all decisions
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in varied kitchen positions or at least 6 months experience in a similar leadership capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
