The Acadian Seaplants (ASL) Manufacturing Team is seeking positive, dependable, Seed Stock Lead Hand at our manufacturing facility in Charlesville, Nova Scotia. This is a great opportunity for local candidates who would like to join a strong, motivated team at our world-class, one-of-a kind facility. This position is responsible for the growing of our seaweeds in our Bio-room, which is an indoor grow facility that focuses on our seedstock. This is a part time (21 hr per week plus call-ins), year-round position with the possibility for more hours for interested candidates.As an ideal candidate, you are hardworking, dependable, and flexible with an interest in growing plants. You are open to working weekend call ins. This job includes growing of seaweed, plant health, sanitizing of system, data collection, basic repairs, weighing seaweed, and leading others. This job consists of working with or in seawater and wearing waders/PPE where required. No workplace training Thats okay too! Training will be provided. You have a strong commitment to health and safety and are comfortable working in a plant environment.Whats in it for you:
